Does owning a dog make you healthier?

Children who grow up with a dog are less likely to develop eczema.

Recent research has shown that petting and talking to a dog is associated with a decrease in blood pressure.

Pet owners are much more likely to get their 30 minutes of exercise at least 5 days a week, according to the National Institute of Health.

A study in the 2011 Journal of Personality and Social Psychology showed that patients who own pets engage in healthier behavior, were happier, and better adjusted than non-pet owners!
