Chocolate, good for your brain and your heart

Chocolate is made from seeds of a tropical tree, the Theobroma cacao tree.

How guilty do we need to feel when we eat chocolate?  An average size chocolate bar has 540 calories.  But it also has vitamins, including riboflavin, vitamin B12, and minerals such as manganese, phosphorus, and zinc.  Chocolate is a good source for calcium, magnesium, and iron!

One medical study showed that eating up a chocolate bar a day decreased risk of stroke and heart disease!

Scientists at Harvard Medical School found that drinking two cups of hot chocolate a day could help keep the brain healthy and reduce memory decline in older people. The researchers found that hot chocolate helped improve blood flow to parts of the brain where it was needed.
