Current health guidelines call for walking for 30 minutes, 5 days a week. But does science really show that walking makes you healthier?
The biggest study on walking was done by two researchers at the University College of London, who studied 459,833 patients for 11 years.
They found that for those who walked regularly reduced their risk of heart attacks and strokes by 31%!
Other studies have also demonstrated that regular walking reduces stress, improves sleep, can decrease depression, and can even decrease the risk of Alzheimer’s dementia.
