How many injuries occur in the NFL per year?

In the NFL,  there are approximately 2000 injuries to players per year on average.

The average injury results in 1.7 weeks lost of playing time.

The most common injuries are:
1.  ACL
2.  Hamstring
3.  Shoulder
4.  Ankle
5.  Foot
6.  Groin
7.  Achilles
8.  Back
9.  Arm
10. Concussions
The two injuries most likely to end a player’s career are ACL injuries and Achilles tendon injuries.
The teams with the most injuries in 2016 were:  1.  Green Bay Packers, 2.  Washington Redskins and 3.  Pittsburgh Steelers.
The average team has 27 medical personnel on the sidelines of a game, including physicians, paramedics, chiropractors, dentists, and trainers.
