Humans drink 16,000 gallons of water in their lifetime.

If a person drinks 2 liters of water a day, it increases their metabolism by 400 calories a day.

The human body is 70 percent water.

There is enough iron in your body to make a railroad spike.

Ten percent of a person’s body weight is from bacteria.

The biggest muscle in the human body is the gluteus maximus (the butt).  The smallest is the stapedius muscle in the ear.

On average, a person can live one month without food but only 7 days without water.
